 EOS White Papers

La asociación EOS (European Organization for Security) acaba de publicar información de relevancia sobre tendencias en el sector y prioridades en la investigación en Seguridad.

The European Organisation for Security (EOS) - the leading representative of the European private security sector - has issued its Position Paper on Priorities for a Future European Security Framework and the associated White Papers.

After two years of intense work to build common positions, major stakeholders of the European Security Market agreed on common messages and proposals for the consistent development and harmonization of the market to be suggested to the EU Institutions, the Member States, the Users and Operators and the broader public. The suggested priority actions and in particular the establishment of sector specific EU Security Programmes will now be proposed for discussion to the new Commissioners and the European Parliament.

EOS Members are confident that their recommendations contained in this Position Paper and in the White Papers will contribute to increasing Europe's global competitiveness and to fostering European economic growth, while at the same time strengthening the European societies' protection and resilience.

EOS White Papers deal with:

• Border Management, to ensure the secure and legitimate border crossing of people and goods in established entry and exit points
• Border Surveillance, to monitor the unregulated borders of the EU to avoid the taking place of illegitimate activities
• Civil Protection, to protect Europe's citizens from man-made and natural disasters
• ICT Security, to protect the critical ICT infrastructure essential to the functioning of all other critical infrastructures
• Energy Infrastructure Protection and Resilience, to ensure that our energy supply is protected and resilient against any attack
• Civil Aviation Security, to allow for the smooth and secure transportation of people by air
• Supply Chain Security, to improve the secure international and intra-EU trade flow
• Surface Transport Security, to allow for the secure daily surface mass transportation of people.

Thanks to its transversal approach, EOS ensures that these sectoral visions are compatible with each other and incorporated into a global vision for a comprehensive European security approach considerate of local and national security concerns as promoted by the EOS Position Paper.
We invite you to retrieve all EOS White Papers and Position Paper from our web site: http://www.eos-eu.com/.

EOS seeks the open dialogue to further refine, validate and discuss its recommendations in order to improve its vision of a more secure Europe by incorporating the input and the necessary viewpoints of the other relevant stakeholders into any future revision of its White Papers. We therefore invite you to send any questions, suggestions or comments you might have on our Position Paper and White Papers to white.paper@eos-eu.com.
